ReLow60 L-HE Split
A low-profile magnetic switch 60% keyboard with a split spacebar, backspace and right shift — an extended layout that gives thumbs and little fingers real jobs
This model is in development. The release order is decided by vote (see the series page). Specifications, names and design may change.
Overview
The ReLow60 L-HE Split takes the US layout and splits the spacebar, backspace and right shift. Assigning layer switches or modifiers to the extra keys makes up for the keys a 60% board is always short of, without moving your hands off the home row. The split option that proved popular on the Limited Alpha has been redesigned as a model of its own.
For the features shared across the series (low-profile magnetic switches, 8000 Hz, FSU, ReConf), see the ReLow60 L-HE series page.
Layout
The spacebar is split three ways (2.75u / 1.25u / 2.25u), backspace into 1u ×2, and right shift into 1.75u + 1u. The bottom right holds five 1u keys for arrows or layer keys. “Split” refers to these split keys, not to a two-piece keyboard.
