ReOrtho60 L-HE
A low-profile magnetic switch 60% keyboard in an ortholinear grid layout — sharing the ReLow60 case and FSU, with only the layout rethought
This model is in development. The release order is decided by vote (see the series page). Specifications, names and design may change.
Overview
The ReOrtho60 L-HE arranges its keys in an ortholinear grid. Row stagger is a leftover from typewriter linkages that had to clear each other; with the linkages long gone, this model puts the keys back on a grid. It shares the same aluminium case and FSU structure as the ReLow60 L-HE; only the layout is rethought.
For the features shared across the series (low-profile magnetic switches, 8000 Hz, FSU, ReConf), see the ReLow60 L-HE series page.
Layout
A 15-column × 5-row grid with two 2u keys in the bottom centre (five keys to the left, six to the right). Almost everything is 1u, so a set of low-profile 1u keycaps covers nearly the whole board.
